1. Restaurants & Cafés : Dogs are very welcomed on outdoor terraces across France without any issue. Many restaurants also allow well-behaved dogs indoors (it is always polite to ask: « Bonjour, les chiens sont-ils acceptés ? »).
2. Trains & Public Transit : On French national trains (SNCF / TGV), small dogs in carriers travel for 7€, and larger dogs travel on a leash with a muzzle for a discounted ticket. On the Paris Metro (RATP), small dogs in bags travel for free.
3. Off-leash Dog Parks : In city centers, dogs must be kept on leash in public streets, but can roam 100% free inside dedicated fenced dog parks (« Caniparcs »).
